Ernest “Rus” Miller
Rus is head of family office strategies with Directional Advisors, and is a senior member of the investment committee.
Rus has spent well over a decade as a family office executive for multi-generational families with complex global needs, overseeing investments, art, aircraft, estate, and team-building. His experience has taken him across continents, managing assets across the US, UK, Greece, Australia, and Italy.
Previously, Rus built a career in financial services, departing Merrill Lynch as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Advisory in the PIA Program, where he oversaw a team of financial advisors working with corporate, C-Suite, family office, and ultra high net worth clients.
Rus has earned numerous designations, honors, and awards, including the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation, Merrill Lynch’s Certified Special Needs Advisor designation, and the Circle of Champions Club.
Though raised in Orange County, California, Rus got to Texas as quickly as he could, and he and his family now live in McKinney, Texas.
